Birds continue to die.

Avian Botulism

We are finding more dead water fowl each day. It has been confirmed that the deaths are due to avian botulism. It is thought that the long spell of warm weather may be causing this outbreak and that feeding the birds with white bread is making things worse.
Notices warning people of the hazard and dangers of botulism have been put around the lake.
Sadly three of the cygnets hatched this year have been found dead and last week we collected 18 dead mallards.
