7th February 2023. This is the time of year when we start to prune the 50 fruit trees we have planted around the site.
Three Friends work around the fruit trees on the site. Each tree is pruned to remove any diseased or crossing branches. Then any overhanging branches from around the tree are removed to ensure the tree gets lots of light. Lastly the weeds and vegetation around the base of the tree are removed and the tree is fed with a feed of blood and bone.
To do this to all 50 trees will take the gang three weeks.
