The council have given us some hedging plants, hawthorn and blackthorn. We decide to improve the hedge along the car park side of the Wildlife Garden and when they grow larger these plants will provide both food and shelter for the birds.
We used some of the plants to form a barrier between the play ground and the stream flowing into the bottom end of the lake. We were concerned that small children might run into this stream and hope the hedge will prevent this happening.
