Over the past two years we have been trying to make a wildflower meadow on the grassed area near the playground.
We have dug it over, Treated it with weedkiller. Dug out thistles and docks.
We have sowed it with many packets of wildflower seeds.
All our efforts seem to be in vain but we are not giving up YET.
At the moment there are a few teasels growing amongst the grass and a few other wild flowers.
SO during the winter we will have another attempt at getting more wildflowers to grow. We intend to transplant some of the teasels and skim off the grass in patches to give us bare earth to sow seeds into.
