Today we met with Wigan’s Media Officer to tell her about our proposed Spring Clean. We are trying to encourage the local community to get involved in our Spring Clean and help us to tidy up the site in readiness for the better weather. We are organising an event on Thursday 2nd March from 9.30am until 3.00pm when people can come along and join in our activities. We will be scraping mud off the paths, cutting back branches and picking up litter. There is lots for everyone to do so come along for an hour or stay all day. Everyone will be welcome.
Wear old clothes and strong footwear, bring a spade if you have one but we can provide tools.
We hope to see you on the day and perhaps if you enjoy yourself you will decide to join the Friends on a more regular basis.
