When we were working with the volunteers on 8th July we were offered some chipped wood which was surplus to requirements at the building site on Three Sisters Road. Never being one to look a gift horse in the mouth we accepted the offer and a mountain of wood chippings was delivered to the car park. We are now trying to use it up so that it is not taking up car parking spaces.
Today we removed all the weeds from the edge of the garden and covered the verge with a thick layer of the chippings. We hope they will deter the weeds from growing and save us some work in the future .
The mountain of wood chippings does not look any smaller!!
