Walking at the 3 Sisters

There are many places to walk around the Three Sisters and opportunities to get away from the crowd. Much of the walking is on the flat but it can be wet underfoot after rain, so wellingtons or good footwear is recommended.

A walk around Arena Hill is a little more strenuous and will take you to see a fine view over the countryside towards Scout Moors, with its wind turbines. On a clear day you can see over Wigan to Rivington Pike.

The Three Sisters is a gateway to Wigan’s Greenheart and so you can park your car at the Three Sisters and walk to the canal and then to Leigh or Wigan. http://www.wigan.gov.uk/Resident/Leisure/Greenheart/Greenheart.aspx
