A Splash of Colour

The poppies and other wild flowers we sowed at the end of June are still providing a cheerful splash of colour at one corner of the garden. The seeds came from the Lottery project ‘Grow Wild’ and we have several more boxes which we intend to sow next spring. Many visitors have commented on the flowers and they have been an inspiration to the gardeners. We can start to imagine what the garden will look like next year. We are planning to plant a mixture of garden flowers, which we know are attractive to insects, and wild flower seeds. We are adding colour to the garden where we can and Sue made a small raised bed around a tree stump and has planted bulbs and these cyclamen. [Click on the pictures to see the flowers better.]
